79Symphonic, operatic and gothic metal are three forms of metal music that feature heavy, melodic guitar riffs and pounding drumbeats that are commonplace for metal, along with orchestral instruments and soaring vocals usually sang by a female vocalist. Specifically, these styles feature the magical contrast of vicious music and beautiful vocals. With that out of the way, here's a look at ten great bands from the genres.

Thanks for under a Metal..... to me, my favorite of this goth metal band is Nightwish because they have a currently female fronted vocalist including Annette Olson , which also known a new Nightwish era is very unique voice, so that the music is very changed from 6th Album "Dark Passion Play" , also known the first album enter a new era..... nice work yeah..... definitely a best metal ever!
